Update: This is what happened

Greetings readers. I recently shared on social media that my Amazon KDP account was shut down. I intend to recount everything that has happened.

On February 5th, 2026, I was notified by Amazon via email that my account had been terminated because they identified actions that involved manipulating their services. The termination came out of nowhere, and I had received no prior warnings. It’s unclear to me what action led to this guideline being broken. I reached out with a request for information about why my account was terminated, but they declined to provide details. Each time I emailed them, I received the same identical automated reply. Upon speaking with a representative, I was informed their decision was irreversible.

Since 2023, I had consistently published my writings through Amazon KDP. My intention throughout this period was never to go against their guidelines or participate in activities that could jeopardize their platform. I’ve always strived for complete transparency, professionalism, and adherence to their terms of service. I had clearly communicated my acceptance of responsibility for any errors and my readiness to correct them, yet Amazon remained inflexible. It’s evident they no longer want me using their platform.

At this juncture, my sole remaining recourse is to seek alternative platforms for hosting my creations. It was devastating for me to experience this kind of impact on my writing, as it’s a primary source of joy in my life. I’ll explore other platforms for hosting my books and will share any discoveries.

Thank you for your time. I apologise for any inconvenience.

Sincerely,

Tedrick M. Darwin.
